Harrington is an award-winning monotype artist, quickly developing
into a master of this medium. He creates his deep-toned images
in reverse, as a mirror image. Subjects often involve perspective
and shadow and reflection, complex compositions, all created in
reverse! They are first painted onto a plate and then transferred
onto blank paper. Each is a one-of-a-kind painting, hence in the
name is "mono", meaning "one" and "type",
referring to "printing."
